Polymers

Polymers play an essential role in our everyday life. They are the primary building blocks of a large range of products across several industries such as plastic packaging, automotive, medical, kitchenware, home appliances, and textiles. Aramco Trading established its global presence in the polymers market in 2014, with the introduction of linear low-density polyethylene (LLDPE), high-density polyethylene (HDPE), homopolymer polypropylene (PP-HP), and block copolymer polypropylene (PP-CP). With an annual capacity of over 600,000 tons, these products are marketed around the globe with a special focus on Northeast Asia, Southeast Asia, the Indian subcontinent, North Africa, and Southern Europe. The polymers portfolio will be expanding with the introduction of low-density polyethylene (LDPE), and ethylene vinyl acetate (EVA). Specialty engineering plastics and elastomers will also be introduced, such as polymethyl methacrylate (PMMA), polyamide 6 (PA6 or Nylon 6), ethylene propylene rubber (EPR), and thermoplastic olefin (TPO).
